RMTU members around the motu stand in solidarity to protect pay equity.

The Government gutted pay equity legislation, directly impacting over 300,000
workers in women dominated work and cancelling claims for 182,000+ people. They
cancelled claims that were set to boost services that make life possible – like schools,
libraries, hospitals, aged care facilities, disability support and many more.
In the face of those attacks, people in Aotearoa have stood strong for pay equity. We’ve
shown we wholeheartedly value the working people who give blood, sweat, and skill to
care-oriented mahi every day.
