Our structure & rules

Work is underway to develop the RMTU’s constitution following changes to the Incorporated Societies Act .

The changes require the Union to develop an overarching constitution which includes the union’s purpose, activities and rules. This information is currently held in the Union’s Rules and Standing orders and policy manual.

In October2025 the RMTU will facilitate an online AGM where Delegates will vote on the new constitution
and policy manual. Prior to that, all members will have the opportunity to review the documents at the Union’s Branch
